Pop Goes the Weasel
four gangsters find out they have escaped Alcatraz before, and the last step is one of them turning on the other three.

the time, and a rating of "easy", come from Pop Goes the Weasel at COD Zombies Guides. the pips are our own estimate, scaled against every guide here.
the shape of this one
before you start
- not on Easythe quest cannot be finished on Easy at all, and nothing in the game says so while you are doing it
- two players, one of them playing Weaselevery step up to the ending can be done alone. the ending cannot, and the ending is the quest
- the
Hell's Retrieverthree of the steps are throwing it at something, so this is the first thing to get. how to get it - the cycle run three timesfly to the bridge and come back in the electric chair. the steps unlock against that count, so it is worth starting early. building the plane
not required, but it helps
- a frag grenadethe poster in front of the spoon takes either that or the retriever
the steps
feed each of the three Cerberus heads, in Broadway, the infirmary and the docks, then pick the
Hell's Retrieverup out of the Citadel Tunnels.almost everything below is throwing this at something, so it comes first even though nothing forces it to. there is a guide to it, and to the Redeemer it upgrades into.
throw the
Hell's Retrieverat each of five blue skulls. thrown right, it comes back with the skull on it.- next to Juggernog, on a lamppost up the hill. jump from the corner nearest it, or take it from the gondola as it moves
- at the docks, on the third pillar from the left of the next dock along
- on the roof, on an edge in the far left corner from the roof entrance
- a cell near the starting room, on the way to the first Cerberus head. the two sources disagree about where in that cell: the wiki says on the table, beside an ordinary skull, in a lit cell, and codzombiesguides says in the toilet of a cell just outside the library. look at both
- outside the Warden's Office, on a utility pole seen through the window next to
Speed Cola
when the fifth one lands the announcer laughs, and a free
Blundergatis on the table bySpeed Colain the Warden's Office.you only get this wrong oncethe
Blundergathas to be this one. pulling one out of the mystery box does not count for the quest.tipthe skulls cannot be seen until somebody has been to the Golden Gate Bridge, but they can be taken at any point if you know where they are. do not board up the window by
Speed Colafirst: you need to see through it.the cycle has to have been run once before this will start.
throw a frag grenade or the
Hell's Retrieverat the movie poster in a jail cell near the Warden's Office. the poster comes off and there is a hole in the wall with an Afterlife symbol behind it.now go into Afterlife, through the new doorway in the wall opposite the Warden's Office next to the high voltage panel, and zap the spoon on the ground by the crack. it disappears and the announcer laughs.
then go to the cafeteria, to the barrier at the back. the spoon is on a table against the left wall inside it. throw the
Hell's Retrieverat it to bring it back.the cycle has to have been run three times, the free
Blundergattaken and the spoon in somebody's hands.the number pad in the spiral staircase is now flicking through digits, and you can hear it clicking from the stairs. go into Afterlife and enter the four mobsters' prison numbers:
- 101
- 481
- 386
- 872
any order, and both sources list the same four in different orders, which is as close as either gets to saying so outright. the pad blinks and shuffles after each one.
tipthe Afterlife meter stops while somebody is reviving your body, so a second player half reviving you on a loop buys the time to enter all four. alone, enter two, revive, go back in and enter the other two: the pad remembers.
the screen goes black and white and Stanley Ferguson starts telling you how the escape went. when he stops, a pair of headphones appears, looking like a powerup. listen to each one all the way through: the next will not appear until the last has finished.
- the staircase back up to the Citadel Tunnels
- near
Double Tap Root Beer - the walkway between the Warden's Office and the cafeteria
- the staircase from the cafeteria to the infirmary
- the staircase up to the roof
the announcer laughs after each one.
tipthe headphones do not despawn, so there is no clock on this. finish the round first if you would rather.
one player boards the plane in Afterlife. it needs no fuel and gives no prompt; use the action button beside it. everybody else is pulled into Afterlife and onto the plane with them.
the plane takes off and hits the bridge, the way it always does. everyone lands in Afterlife with their bodies in the electric chairs. revive yourselves, and the achievement unlocks there.
now Weasel is a target. the zombies ignore him, the other three can hurt him and he can hurt them, and how it ends is up to the room:
- Weasel kills the other three and the cycle breaks. he takes more punishment than they do to make up for being one against three
- the other three kill Weasel and the cycle continues, with a different song over the end
both give the achievement.
tipbreaking the cycle is the ending the story went with: Blood of the Dead, five years later, picks up from it, and codzombiesguides calls it the canon one for the same reason.
these can be done in any order
arrow keys or j and k to move, d to tick this one off.
all of it, done.
