Aether
a third song on the same map, hidden in the numbers painted on the floor. Brian Tuey put it in on the last day of development.
- players
- any number
- solo
- possible alone
- difficulty
- time
- about 20 minutes
- reward
- the song plays, and that is the whole of it
difficulty and time are an estimate made while writing, not a measurement.
before you start
- the way to generators 1 and 5 open
- generator 5 switched onthe song's own page does not mention this and the other two sources both do, so turn it on before deciding a panel is the wrong one
the steps
there are floor panels with numbers painted on them. go prone and hold use in front of both of the panels reading 1 at generator 1.
you only get this wrong oncethe three sources do not agree about how you press these. the song's own page says only "hold the use button". the map page and the easter egg list both say the action button while prone, and they are two pages against one. go down. standing on a panel and holding use is what it looks like when this step is not landing.
prone again, and hold use in front of the panel reading 5 at generator 5. generator 5 has to be powered for this one.
that is all three panels. the song is
Aether, and it is the third song on this map, after Archangel and Shepherd of Fire.tipthe numbers are 1, 1 and 5. the map's whole story runs on element 115, and that is the joke.
arrow keys or j and k to move, d to tick this one off.
all of it, done.
what that got youthe song plays, and that is the whole of it
